RUSS GUNTER, PT, DPT, MTC  

   Physical Therapist/Owner

          Russ Gunter is a graduate from the University of St. Augustine  for Health Sciences. There he first received his Master's of Physical Therapy before proceeding to acquire his Doctorate of Physical Therapy with a certification in Manual Therapy (MTC). Prior to his physical therapy education he received a Bachelors of Science Degree in Exercise Science. Russ worked for two and a half years in Atlanta, GA in association with a TMJ, manual and orthopedic specialist before returning to his home state of Louisiana. He has experience practicing in various settings of rehab, long-term care, outpatient orthopedics and outpatient sports to give him a comprehensive approach to therapy. Since 2005 he has owned and directed the Scott Physical Therapy location in Scott, and now he has opened and directs a second location in Lafayette.

Jessica Simon, PT, DPT

Physical Therapist

       Jessica Simon is a recent graduate of the University of St. Augustine. There she received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in December 2009 with a concentration on manual therapy. Prior to her doctoral studies in Physical Therapy, Jessica attended the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. There she received a Bachelors of Science degree in Exercise Science in May 2007.  Before coming to work in Lafayette, Jessica acquired experience from many different internships at varying clinics. These internships include balance and vestibular rehabilitation in Daytona Beach, Florida; acute care at Lafayette General Medical Center; and outpatient and orthopedics in Beaufort, South Carolina. 

Rebecca Davis, PT

Physical Therapist

Rebecca is a graduate from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport, Louisiana. There she received her Masters of Physical Therapy Degree in 2005. She is currently pursueing her Doctorate of Physical Therapy Degree from the University of Mississippi Medical Center. Prior to her physical therapy education she received a Bachelors of Science Degree in Applied Biology from Louisiana Tech University. Rebecca worked for 8 months at Huey P. Long Medical Center in Pineville, Louisiana where she gained experience in wound care, acute inpatient care and outpatient orthopedic care. She has worked in Groton and New London, Connecticut for the past four years in outpatient orthopedic and sports rehabilitation where she spent time focusing on improving her skill in manual physical therapy. Rebecca just recently returned to her home state of Louisiana and joined the Scott Physical Therapy team in Lafayette. Her interests are mainly in orthopedic and manual physical therapy. Rebecca is orginally from Pineville, Louisiana. She is married and currently resides in Lafayette, Louisiana with her husband.

Heidi Guillory, AD

Administrative Assistant

Heidi Guillory is a graduate of Louisiana State University where she received her bachelor's degree in Animal Science.  She worked in the veterinary field for 6 years before transitioning to human medicine.  Heidi was born and raised in Broussard, Louisiana.  She currently resides there with her husband, Robbie and their two daughters, Mia and Olivia.

Daniel Beasley, PCC

  

Promotions Care Coordinator

Daniel Beasley is a native to South Louisiana and is currently pursing his MBA degree at The University of Louisiana at Lafayette. He will be graduating in the fall of 2010 with his Masters in Business Administration. Prior to these studies he graduated in May of 2007 with a Bachelors of Science in Business Management from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette's BI Moody College of Business. Prior to joing the SPT team, he has worked in a variety of different settings ranging from customer service/public relations to systems training. During his undergraduate studies Daniel completed a management internship under the institution of Mary Smith, the director of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette's Angelle Hall Music Auditorium. He has been employed with the Scott Physical Therapy Team since November 2009.

 

Kristin Hornsby, PC

Promotions Coordinator

Kristin Hornsby is currently pursuing her degree in Excercise Sciences at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. She returned back to the Scott Physical Therapy staff after moving to Atlanta, GA and attending college at Oglethorpe University for a year. Kristin is not only the Promotions Coordinator but she is also cross trained to work with patients as a physical therapy technician and an office assisitant. Kristin was born and raised in Lafayette and plans on staying here.
